WEEK 1-2

Negative Black and White

This image is a very simplistic one. It is a photograph of a personal letter. They're several techniques used to capture this certain image. Starting with the most obvious, the colour of the photograph was edited into black and white. After this was done, a negative spectrum was added, thus revealing such a result (negative black and white). The angle of the image is taken from the top left section to the bottom right section of the letter. This certain angle and technique has added some edge to the photograph, creating a more interesting image of a simple letter.

The crooked House

This unique obscure looking building is situated in Sopot, at Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street. The architecture of the building is based on drawings by Jan Marcin Szancer and Per Dahlberg. This image almost seems as though it has been edited to create a type of illusion. However the audience can notice it reveals a type of illusion without the use of editing the image. This is evident as the responders can note the pole and tree positioned at the edges of the image standing upright. It’s a popular tourist destination and inside are a number of pubs and restaurants, and it is the most photographed building in Poland.

Eiffel tower

This is an image of the Eiffel tower located in Paris - 'The city of Love'. This is one of the most recognized structures in the whole world. I have chosen this image as my beauty image, as it reminds me of mans ability to create extraordinary things that go beyond this era (building created in the 19th century). This image of the water lights beaming from beneath reflects the calm night and the wonders of this particular environment.
